Wow, what a crew. Here’s Ruby with her fine orchestra sandwiching super-producer Mike Chapman. Tension was high when the group was recording at Chessvolt. All talented players with fierce direction of their own, they came together with the sole purpose of making good music, which is just what they did.

Ruby’s unrelenting passion burns through her vast register in carefully calculated and unleashed bursts of big satisfying sound. It’s an elaborate production embodying Janis Joplin’s no-holds-barred skipping hand-in-hand with Bette Middler’s controlled creativity while hanging around the island in Meatloaf’s kitchen.
