Track of the Day: Austin Hartley-Leonard, Little Latin Girl

by Landry on December 18, 2008

We heard this guy was classically trained, with twelve years at the Chicago Institute of Music under his belt, training at the Blair School of Music at Vanderbilt University (cello and guitar), and even performances in Chicago blues clubs beginning at age 13.

After Nashville he did Austin, where he played Stubb’s, Antone’s, and Hole in the Wall (super dive on the drag with great pool tables). Now he lives in LA, where he has a bunch of upcoming Hotel Cafe gigs.

Check out his clever writing and sweet rootsy vibe.
