Premature Trackulation: Israel Nash Gripka, Evening

by Landry on March 28, 2009

Wrapping stories in threads of song, New Yorker Israel Nash Gripka tells sonic tales on guitar and harmonica with a Counting Crows vibe, heavily influenced by CCR and John Cougar Mellencamp.

reminds me of Mellencamp’s Pink Houses. It takes its time unrolling a heartfelt ballad filled with ironic hopefulness and disappointment.
