Obi Best (Alex Lilly and friends) makes pretty pop music, smart and clever, musically centered around keyboard arrangements, quirky, fun and mood-effective synth sounds, and Lilly’s lovely, accurate voice.
Unquestionably talented and down-to-earth, Lilly is equally comfortable whether leading her own band or contributing to others.
A young veteran on the music scene – Lilly’s worked singing backup with The Bird and the Bee (Inara George and Greg Kurstin), on projects with insane singer/songwriter/producer Mike Viola, and playing/singing/touring with Juliette Commagere of Hello Stranger.
For her live Luxury Wafers Session, Lilly was accompanied by Wendy Wang on bass guitar.
