Busting out modestly in authentic expression, Nicole Schneit – who sounds like a teenage boy with her Harvest-influenced, hoarse vocals – does it, good. Kinda sad, her songs dig in and don’t let go.
Knockout is exactly that. Especially warm, the song refrains lyrically “I’m alive, I’m on fire, for the first time in my life, ” with an ironic, emotionally steady delivery.
