A motley nine members for San Fransisco’s Citay descended on the studio one day when the band (touring with The Dry Spells) came in for a Luxury Wafers Session, bringing a family vibration and big, layered sounds – diverse, like its members, yet generally breaking down into luscious psychedelic, folk-electric jams. Citay is the lovechild of Ezra Feinberg, who leads the group on acoustic guitar and vocals. Citay’s all about enjoying making music as a community and sharing it with aficionados of mellow space.
Pictured above: Thalia Harbour (vocals and synth, also of The Dry Spells), Josh Pollack (new member, guitar – at Luxury Wafers on flying v, also of University of Errors), Meryl (vocals and tambo), Adria Otte (of The Dry Spells, now she’s moved on to ‘east-bay free improv’), April Hayley (vocals, also of The Dry Spells), drummer Warren Huegel (drums, also of University of Errors), Diego Gonzalez (bass, also of The Dry Spells), Sean Smith (new member, electric guitar and stylish flair) and the group’s founder, Ezra Feinberg (vocals and acoustic guitar).
