Jim Bianco, Live@Chessvolt Studios

Sensitive and vulnerable, yet quietly forward in the sexy department, Singer-Songwriter Jim Bianco is a full-time, professional ladykiller. Oh, I mean musician. Yea, though I swoon, I'm here to testify: I've seen him work his voodoo in person on a pre-pubescent girl (my eight-year-old daughter!), through video on an early 20's hipster (our video editor), even on his adorable, grown-up publicist. And there are stories. Oh my, are there stories.

But truly, we're here to talk about the music. Jim Bianco's music. Which magnetically beckons, like a bound shard of warm-toned glowing light squeezed through a door left slightly ajar on a frigid winter's eve. Come, welcome in, listen.... Bianco hooks you by surprise. It's natural to find yourself drawn into Jim Bianco's realm, keeping company by the blaze of his burning heart and the roar of his hungry soul. Is it lust or heartbreak? His tightly wound intensity bursts forth, a wild flame of desire and sadness, unleashed through song, while the pain on his face sucks you back in like oxygen to his fire.

Recently a guest on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, Bianco performed I Got A Thing For You in jerky, pent-up Tom Waitsish fashion. Bianco's been with LA's Hotel Cafe since the very beginning. He toured 2008 with Hotel Cafe across the US and Europe joined by Ingrid Michaelson, Cary Brothers, Greg Laswell and other all-stars. Sing! is the new album, just out March 4th.

What can be said about Jim, he is a true original, and everytime I've seen him, I've NEVER EVER been disappointed.
If you haven't seen him get off your butt and do so, Tell Him Wade says hi.
