Led by Peter Walker on guitar and vocals, Eulogies is a full-band effort fueled also by Drew Phillips on guitar, Garrett Deloian on bass and Chris Reynolds on drums and vocals.

Eulogies' tunes shoot straight-forward in structure, appealing as simple overall. Yet there's a hidden complexity accompanied by Walker's intellectually kicked-around lyrics which pervades Eulogies' songs. Walker's surreal, lush vocals occasionally tremble with gentle vibratto and lean curiously languid over the band's oft-driving beats, affording the tunes an ironically steely, removed, movie-soundtrack quality. It feels like it could be contentment, as though Walker has just eaten a huge meal and now strolls buzzing streets sated and unhurried. Or like the world's in a rush around him and he's game to go, but he needs to go back to feed his fish or maybe he stepped in some super sticky bubblegum and it's not really slowing him down as much as temporarily distracting him. Or maybe he's just kicking back, observing and describing his own encompassing whirlwind. Whatever the case, Walker's unique contribution paired his with dependably vigorous band imparts a distinctive vibe to Eulogies. While it's easy to hear an intersection of musical highways and sidestreets influencing their style (all the way from dramatic David Bowie undertones + pragmatic Tom Petty in The Fight to Heartless Bastard's Erika Wennerstrom in Day to Day plus some general U2-ishness), Eulogies really have got their own elusive sound going on.
